Introduce Kids to Nordic Skiing This Winter

Introducing kids to Nordic Skiing is now easier, and cheaper, than ever. A new non-profit organization, Rensselaer Plateau Nordic (RPN,) is offering a six-week youth program for kids ages 4-15 at Pineridge Cross Country Ski Area that will meet on Saturday mornings, January 7, 2012 through February 11, 2012. New this year, parents are also encouraged to participate as Pineridge is now offering a discounted program specifically for RPN parents.

Rensselaer Plateau Nordic is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to providing Nordic recreational opportunities and wellness education for Capital Region children and their families. Their youth programs teach kids and families the sport of cross-country skiing through fun activities and games on snow and dry land.

Cost: $60.00 ($20.00 Siblings) This includes a lessons, equipment rental, trail pass and RPN skills building activities.
