Enrollment is limited, but there is still room in the 5-week Drawing Class that starts on Sunday, March 7, at the Athens Cultural Center in Athens, NY.
This art class, open to teenagers ages 13-19, teaches an understanding of the elements of drawing – including form, perspective, values, shading and composition, which are explored in a hands-on, individual instruction forum. The essential role drawing plays in other mediums and the importance of mastering this art form are stressed. The course concludes with a demonstration on how to transfer your drawing for painting using a modified grid system.
The course instructor is Robert A. Lahmhas, who has taught art classes for twenty years, and currently teaches non- credit art classes at the Columbia-Greene Community College, The Athens Cultural Center, Plein Air Landscape Painting Classes and Private Painting Lessons. Lahm attended The Montclair Art Museum School and The Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts Advertising Design & Illustration). He also worked as an illustrator and owned R. A.
