There are so many fun things to do in New York with kids over Presidents’ Week, that I’d be here all night trying to type them all up for you. Fortunately, I don’t have to as Capital District Fun has done a bang-up job already in Things To Do for February Break, Or Bring On Nine Straight Days Of Cold Weather And No School!

Still looking for something to do this weekend with a slightly older crowd? Look for Garbage Warriors, Rocky Horror, and Donna The Buffalo on All Over Albany’s Stuff to do this weekend. Or, take a look at Nippertown’s local ArtBeat, with current and closing gallery exhibits and a chance to recycle old books into works of art, as well as the Weekend Roundup of the music scene.

Learn how to make your own ArtBots from materials you probably have at home, and watch them wobble and move across the paper! For children in grades 3-5. (Art activities, puppet shows, and Chinese New Year Celebrations all week long at the Saratoga Springs Public Library.)

- Electric City Bugaloo FREE PHOTO EVENT- Feb. 19th 5pm – 8pm, Sow’s Ear Studio 1597 Union St Schenectady, NY 518.370.2042.Vin and Fran Giordano will set up a camera, lights, backdrop and a printer. We will have GIANT novelty light-bulbs, incandescent, fluorescent. People who come can get a free 4″x6″ Photograph with whichever light bulb moves them.
