Teen Daughter has been lobbying to do a Polar Plunge. Any Polar Plunge. The child has absolutely no natural insulation, but she still thinks she can handle the cold.
On Sunday, we missed the Polar Plunge at Grafton’s Winter Fest. Not that there was a snowball in hell’s chance that we would’ve allowed her to enter the frigid waters. As it was, the thermometer was barely clearing the double digits when we arrived to skate on Long Pond.
While my son and I skated, Teen Daughter took the dog for a walk. She must have been outside of the car all of 5 minutes when she begged to go back into the warmth.
I don’t think she’ll be asking to do the Polar Plunge any time soon. Just in case, I’m going to show her Sebastien.B’s Grafton Winter Fest 2010 Flickr photoset. Enough said.
