My kids are old enough that our last visit to Sesame Place pre-dates digital cameras. Alas, I don’t have any photos of our first family adventure to a theme park.
Even without the photographs, I well remember my toddler’s ear-to-ear grin, and that glorious feeling of having found an outing that brought such joy to the entire family. We only went to Sesame Place one time, but thus began a childhood filled with wonderful theme park memories.
Theme parks offer sheer, unadulterated fun – a combination of thrilling rides and live entertainment – they’re the biggest and the best playgrounds where anyone can be a kid. More than mere play places, although that’s a worthy and sufficient role onto itself, theme parks offer many learning opportunities.
Fun and Educational Things To Do at Sesame Place
While the focus at Sesame Place is on fun activities, there is a lot of learning going on too. Kids will love the life-size Sesame Place neighborhood, where they can play while learning about community. Children are taught about friendships at the Let’s Play Together show, and they both discover and do when they explore dance in Elmo’s World Live Show.
Interactive learning activities abound throughout the park, and for those willing to plan ahead, Sesame Place also offers a CSI- Club of Science Investigators Education Program.
