Disney Social Media Moms

kodak_picture_spotIf all wishes came true, I would be basking in the glow of the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration.

I really wanted to go, and on the day of registration, I gave it my best shot – along with about a zillion other moms. At one point, I think we even broke Twitter with our fast and furious posts about ongoing efforts to get through the online registration.

Alas, I was not one of the fortunate few, but at least a few of my Kids Fun Plaza colleagues were tapped to attend. And now, I am lucky indeed because I’ve been getting to experience the magic vicariously through their live blogging, tweets, and photos.

In case you haven’t caught on yet, mom blogs are a power to be reckoned with, and social media is the tool that savvy bloggers use to exert an influence that is only now beginning to be observed and measured.

To begin to understand how social media is changing the world that we live in, take a look at these posts from my blogging friends:

Cutest Kid Ever – live blog coverage:

The Angel Forever

Memorable quotes:

Rene Syler – “Social media is the new model of communication.”

Chris Brogran – “Be the go-to person. Be the connector. Be the elbow of every deal.”

Ka-Pow! Watch out, Capital Region, here come the mommy bloggers.

Wish you had been able to go as well. So glad that they had it online for people to watch to the speakers with us. Will be blogging more about everything as I catch up now that we are home.
