Wilderness Skills Veteran’s Day Vacation Camp

For those of you, like me, who have not yet made plans for the holiday next week, there’s a new day camp option. This fall, Flying Deer Nature Center offers its first-ever Veteran’s Day Vacation Camp on Thursday, November 11.

The day in the woods, designed for ages 7 to 12, will include:

  • FIRE-CRAFT – Make fire using only what you find in the woods.
  • PRIMITIVE COOKING – Bake acorn cookies on hot rocks.
  • STALKING – Learn how to sneak up on animals undetected.
What: Wilderness Vacation Camp
When: 9AM-3PM or 8:30-5PM, November 11, 2010
Where: Flying Deer Nature Center, 5 Abode Road, New Lebanon, NY 12125
Cost: $65.00 or $80.00
