clay I followed a listing for a pottery class for teens, and found so much more!

Teens can advance their pottery skills in:

Introduction to Wheel Throwing for Teens
: Monday, Wednesday and Fridays
August 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20
Cost: $120 + $30 supply fee
This is a great way to learn basic techniques of throwing on the wheel or to build up your art portfolio for college applications. Students will be able to use the pottery wheel to make and refine simple forms. Students will learn glazing techniques on the pots that they make. Contact Karen Schupack ( at the Albany Art Room for more information.

However, I recommend taking a look at the Albany Art Room website, they’ve got a bunch of interesting classes, including one that’s for the whole family:

Family Bowl Workshop with Janine
Thursdays, 6-7pm
August 12 + 26
$30 per family (up to 3 members of a family included)
Come together to create a fun wonderful fruit bowl. Families will be able to create a bowl using the slab technique and add decorations by carving, stamping, and or adding clay. Then families will return to paint underglazes, and glazes bowls.
