We’re a new site and we need people like you to help make this the place that New York families turn to discover fun and educational things to do with kids.

Want to become an Albany Kid contributor?

Are you the one who all your friends turn to when they need to be in the know, especially when it comes to parenting New York kids?  Do your friends turn to you to find out the best deals on items for kids?  Are you always on the lookout for the coolest stuff for kids and parents, the latest bit of news and the off the beaten track activities?  Are you passionate about raising kids in New York and always exploring its nooks and crannies?

Albany Kid is looking for parents who are musicians, artists, foodies, shopaholics, fashionistas, born-again knitters, eco-freaks, wellness gurus, film buffs, budding entrepreneurs or general culture junkies to contribute to our publication.  But if you’re a person who doesn’t fit in any of those categories, we’d love to hear from you too!

Nicknamed the “Empire State” for its vast wealth and variety of resources, there are so many reasons that people say, “I LOVE NY!”   We’d love to hear from you if you’re passionate about raising kids in New York, and all the great things this state has to offer.

Whether you’re interested in contributing a single article or a series, we’d be happy to hear from you! Your article would receive a prominent link to your site, as well as exposure to our Twitter and Facebook followers.  Your article(s) should be relevant to New York readers and should cover news relevant to families, provide an interesting story about you as a parent living in New York or discuss a topic about parenting or family life.

Regular contributors would receive a bio on our About page.

Reviews

Discovered a terrific restaurant that served something other than the “usual suspects” for kids?  Found family entertainment that doesn’t break the family budget?  Followed a new trail in the woods?  Tried a new gadget that makes parenting easier?  Got the scoop on events, classes, and programs for kids?  Send us your reviews!
