If your budding little traveler is anxiously awaiting to set sail on adventures of their own, Albany Kid has a fun giveaway from Little Passports just in time for the holidays! Little Passports is a mom-founded company that takes kids on monthly adventures across the world with fellow travelers Sam and Sofia. I’ve seen the Little Passport ads in magazines such as Parents and was thrilled for the chance to preview the product for this giveaway. There are two different subscription options parents can chose from.
World Edition
The World Edition subscription teaches children about the world through adventures across the globe. The first month’s Explorer Kit includes a mini-suitcase, wall map, passport, stickers, activities and more. Each month thereafter Sam and Sofia, travel to a new country on their magical scooter and share their experiences with 5-10 year old children. Participating children receive an exciting monthly package in the mail, including a letter, activity sheet, fun souvenirs (think Egyptian dig kit and sushi erasers), and access to Little Passports online Boarding Zone full of educational games and activities.
USA Edition
The just released USA Edition begins with the USA Discovery Kit, including a letter from Sam and Sofia, a wall-sized USA map, field guide, scratch book, disposable camera and photo scavenger hunt. In subsequent months, kids will receive a travel journal packed with 32 pages of activities themed around two different states, starting with New York and Texas. They’ll also get a 3D pop-up model of a state icon to build – The Alamo for Texas, for example – state stickers, postcards, and a letter from Sam and Sofia with the inside scoop on their travels.
We received the first month’s Explorer Kit of the World Edition in the mail which included everything pictured below.
The activities were simple enough for a 5 year old to handle and provided an introduction to the characters through determining their ages by counting foreign flags hidden in a scene.
She also got the chance to fill in her mock passport with fun information about herself and where she wants to travel next (with some helpful hints from mom). I think her favorite part of the package was getting an actual photo of the characters Sam and Sofia and looking over all of the countries on the large, colorful world map that’s included. The map is great size to start planning pinning future family trips!
Now… drumroll please…..
