It’s been 12 years since the Muppets’ last big-screen feature film (“Muppets from Space,” 1999).
Get ready for the next invasion – THE MUPPETS hits theaters on November 23rd!
On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze Muppet Studios and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds.
To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the studio, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With a screenplay written by Jason Segel & Nicholas Stoller, the film is directed by James Bobin and features signature celebrity cameos.
But first, before the big event, before the movie or the red carpet world premiere, there’s a parody, and a parody of the parody:
Did you catch all the parodies? Not me. But YouTube fan, cellopypo, came up with this list, and it looks pretty good to me:
- First one – Parody of their first parody
- The Activity – Paranormal Activity
- Fuss in Boots – Puss in Boots
- Breaking Prawn – Breaking Dawn (it is already better than the whole twilight saga)
But wait, there’s more! Before the big event, before the movie or the red carpet world premiere, and before the Final Parody, there were the first Muppet parodies:
The Muppets – Green With Envy Teaser – Any Romantic Comedy
The Muppets – Fuzzy Pack Teaser – The Hangover
The Muppets – Being Green Teaser Trailer – Green Lantern
The Pig with the Froggy Tattoo – The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Did you say you want MORE Muppets?
And a Muppet bonus –
