“Robyn is a fantastic teacher. I can’t say enough good things about her.” – Terri Jones (Mom to two young authors.)

Over the past year, I’ve seen my son’s creative writing skills develop to the point where I can’t wait to see what he is going to write next.  He has blossomed from reluctant writer to eager author, and all the credit goes to the writing programs at East Line Books.

This summer, Robyn Ringler will be running a series of short, week-long classes that will engage and inspire young writers.

Class Description:

“Most of the material a writer works with is acquired before the age of fifteen.” –Willa Cather

You’re never too young to start writing.  So, why wait?  Use this summer break as a time to get started.  Put your hopes, secrets, and fears into writing and learn writing techniques that will help you for the rest of your life.  Come meet new people and share your work with a supportive audience.  Bring a notebook, a pen and your ideas!  Limit 8 students.

Instructor: Robyn Ringler’s articles have been published in the Albany Times Union, Newark Star-Ledger and have been sent out over the New York Times wire. She has written regularly for Nursing Spectrum and has contributed to the Philosophical Mom webzine and other publications. She has read her personal essays on Northeast Public Radio, Martha Stewart Radio, The Health Show and 51%, nationally syndicated radio programs. Robyn has also published essays in two prominent anthologies: Women’s Letters: America from the Revolutionary War to the Present, published by Dial Press, and Stories of Illness and Healing:  Women Write Their Bodies, published by Kent State University Press.
