I ran across this family on the trails at Pine Ridge Cross Country Ski Area, and I was so impressed that I asked for their photo. It was ingenious, really.
When our children were little, we were able to carry them in the Bjorn or backpack carrier. However, once they were walking, we ended up cutting back on outdoor adventures because their little legs just couldn’t keep up.
This family solved this dilemma by hauling a sled so that the little kids could take a break from snowshoeing when they got tired.
Brilliant!
