There’s a lot to do this week planning and packing for the Presidents’ Week Vacation. Tween son is enrolled in day camp program, but I still have to figure out the after care situation. That’s not a big deal.
No, the big job this week is finalizing plans to take Teen Daughter and the rest of the Girl Scout troop on a whirlwind tour of New York City colleges and the Fashion District. I have a basic outline, but I definitely need to finalize the details this week.
Besides packing and the usual busyness, we’re still making time for a few fun kids’ activities that have made the short list this week:
- And Then There Were None @ NYSTI – Jan.29-Feb. 12, Agatha Christie mystery recommended for ages 11 & up.
- Cafe Latte Restaurant Entrepreneur Program at MOD Gourmet Cafe in Catskill, NY. Girl Scout Council of Northeastern NY
- “Some Like It Sweet: Sugars” Cooking The Tree of Life – Wednesday, February 10, 7pm, NY State Museum.
- Indoor Games at the Saratoga Springs Public Library Community Room – Thursday, February 11, 1:30-4:00, Recommended for Teens. Saratoga Homeschoolers.
- Mother/Daughter Book Club Discussion of Lisa McMann’s Wake.
And one that I wish we had time for:
Find LOTS more great upcoming events for Albany kids listed on Capital District Fun.
